Big Idea - What does the birth of Jesus mean to me.
1. The birth of Jesus allows me to be reborn
Romans 8:14-16 All those led by God's Spirit are God's sons. For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, " Abba, Father! " The Spirit Himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God's children,
2. Jesus was and is a wonderful, incomprehensible counselor.
Isaiah 9:6 For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on His shoulders. He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. Judges 13:15-18 "Please stay here," Manoah told Him, "and we will prepare a young goat for You." The Angel of the Lord said to him, "If I stay, I won't eat your food. But if you want to prepare a burnt offering, offer it to the Lord." For Manoah did not know He was the Angel of the Lord. Then Manoah said to Him, "What is Your name, so that we may honor You when Your words come true? " "Why do you ask My name," the Angel of the Lord asked him, "since it is wonderful." Psalm 16:7 I will praise the Lord who counsels me - even at night my conscience instructs me. James 1:5 Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him.
3. Jesus' birth means that I have peace in an unpredictable world!
Shalom - 1. Peace on the Sabbath 2. Peace between warming nation John 16:33 I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world." Ironay - 1. Tranquility 2. Rest 3. Ease Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Love each other with the reality of God's greatest gift.
